Inspiration

You never know when you'll be struck with an idea. Though I do notice a trend: I'm supposed to design something like an advert, I'll suddenly get a bunch of ideas for anything but an advert. I think it's my brain trying desperately to procrastinate while remaining productive. I could be wrong though.

Right or wrong, four poster designs fell out of my stylus this week. (Note that the advert in question is still... percolating.) Of the four, my personal favorite is Lapis Lazuli, which was inspired by Hisa's comment about the symbol. It's just such a rich blue, and I can't get enough of that color.

We're heading up to Mariposa this weekend, and we'll be within spitting distance of Yosemite. Not that anyone would want to spit on Yosemite, perish the thought! Can't wait to see what spring has in store for us there. Cross your fingers that it isn't too hot, though. Something of a heat wave coming through that part of the planet.
